Centenary Bank is running a Financial Literacy Program as part of its community development initiatives.The program is aimed at enhancing the financial knowledge of Ugandans in order to help them make informed financial decisions.The bank has partnered with organisations like Private Sector Foundation Uganda (PSFU) and AgriBusiness Initiative Trust (ABI Trust) to empower the business community with financial skills, with International Labour Organisation (ILO) to cater for youth and Techno Serve to train women
Centenary Bank partnered with Rotary D9200 and Nsambya Hospital in April 2011 in the ‘Bridge the Cancer gap campaign’. The 3 year project will see a cancer ward built in Nsambya hospital and 12 cancer awareness days held around the country. Centenary Bank is investing UGX 380m in the project. The cancer ward will be the second in the country and will have two floors, ground floor for cervical and breast cancer patients and first floor for prostate cancer patients
Centenary Bank donates to several worthy causes. These include flood victims, burnt markets, illnesses like epilepsy, blood donations, malnourished children, church activities etc.
KAMPALA. 12/NOVEMBER/2011. UGANDA Peoples Defence Forces soldiers and their families today received free cancer testing to know their health status through an initiative by Centenary Bank and Rotary International District 9200 and Nsambya Hospital.
