Electricity Bill Payment Service
UMEME customers can pay electricity bills at their convenience at any of our Branches free of charge whether one has an account with Centenary Bank or not. Customers are free to choose any of the two payment options:
Walk-In Option
This payment option is open to Centenary Bank and non Centenary Bank customers. The service is accessible through the following simple steps:
- Walk into any of our Branches.
- Fill out a special cash deposit slip in triplicate.
- Present the deposit slip along with cash to any cashier.
- Cashier will credit UMEME with the cash deposit amount and issue a stamped customer copy as acknowledgement of receipt.
- The payment will appear on the next utility bill delivered by UMEME.
Benefits:
- No need to have an account with Centenary Bank.
- Service is available free of charge.
- Customers can pay at their convenience.
- Payment can be made at any of the Centenary Bank Branches.
- If you are a Centenary Bank customer, you also have the option of accessing the EasyPay Option.
EasyPay Option
This payment option is available to customers who have accounts at Centenary Bank and it's accessible through the following steps:
- Visit UMEME office and fill out the Direct Debit forms in Triplicate.
- UMEME will send a copy of forms containing either 6 months or 1year standing instruction for Centenary Bank subject to availability of sufficient funds to debit the customers' account and pay UMEME on monthly basis with the amount desired for electricity bill payment.
- Centenary Bank will send a credit advice to UMEME for the transaction effected to its account for the purpose of electricity bill payment
- UMEME upon receipt of the advice will credit the customers’ electricity account and issues a payment acknowledgement receipt which will be delivered to the customer with the next electricity bill.
