Our Bank commits UGX 200million to the Masaza Cup tournament 2025
Our Bank joined Buganda Kingdom and fellow partners for the official launch of the 21st edition of the Masaza Cup tournament, held at Bulange, Mengo yesterday. This year’s tournament, set to kick off on 21st June 2025, carries a powerful message of mobilising men to take a leading role in protecting the girl child and addressing the ongoing challenge of HIV/AIDS.
In line with this noble cause, Our Bank has committed UGX 200 million to support the success of this year’s tournament. As a long-standing partner of the Masaza Cup, our MD, Dr. Fabian Kasi, participated in today’s launch and reflected on the tournament’s enduring impact in fostering community unity, well-being, and youth engagement.
Dr. Kasi reaffirmed our deep-rooted partnership with Buganda Kingdom as one founded on shared values of community development, cultural preservation, sustainability, and social transformation.
“Our support for the Masaza Cup spans over 12 years, and it continues to grow stronger,” he noted, while also highlighting our involvement in key initiatives such as the Kabaka Run, the CBS Kalisoliso Dinner, and the Ekibira kya Kabaka tree-planting initiative.
To date, Our Bank has contributed nearly UGX 2 billion to the Masaza Cup. Dr. Kasi expressed our continued commitment to standing alongside the Buganda Kingdom and advancing the tournament’s purpose. He also extended heartfelt appreciation to the Katikkiro and the Kingdom’s leadership for the vision and structures that have sustained the Masaza Cup over the years.
