The CenteDiaspora Savings Account caters for the banking needs of Ugandans working abroad. It offers non-resident Ugandans the opportunity of opening a savings account and running it from anywhere in the world. Product Features

  • Two (2) recent passport size photos (colored) of the applicant(s).
  • Copy of the passport or valid resident Identification (I.D) or any other valid document.
  • One (1) Referral either by a Centenary Bank customer or foreign lawyer or Attorney or an officer at Uganda’s consular or diplomatic foreign mission or the bank’s appointed agent/representative.

  • All transactions are communicated through mobile phone transactional alerts and email alerts

Requirements

  • Denominated in UGX, USD, GBP and EURO
  • No opening balance
  • Minimum balance of USD 200, GBP 100, Euro 100 and 10,000 for UGX
  • Interest paid on quarterly basis on credit balances above the minimum balance.
  • Account accessible at any Centenary Bank branch in Uganda, via the CenteMobile, VISA and internet banking.
  • Online Statement of account issued quarterly (sent via individual email address)
  • Deposits done through authorized money transfer companies, TT’s and foreign currency cheques or by the bank’s appointed financial services providers/Agents.
  • Withdraws made using CenteMobile, Visa enabled ATMs, and other bank’s appointed financial services providers/Agents in addition to visiting the banking halls
  • All transactions will be communicated through mobile phone transaction and email alerts.
