EDUCATION AND FINANCIAL LITERACY
A total of 64 activities were carried out aimed at improving the quality of education and imparting financial literacy skills. Among these were direct trainings for women, youth, SMEs, farmers, Saccos and Village savings associations. Total beneficiaries were 4 236 A total of 1 306 participants attended VSLA’s training, 1 630 youth trainings, 700 farmers, SMEs covered 600 participants.
Besides classroom training a total of 98 schools and education institutions were supported in different activities. Top among the activities included.
- Ugx 90 m towards financial literacy tips on NTV Uganda.
- Ugx 45 m towards the university quiz that had all universities across the country participate.
- This quiz aimed at equipping students with day-to-day knowledge to become all round learners.
- Over 100 Computers were donated to learners in different schools to aid modern methods of learning.
- Over Ugx 50 m support towards construction and renovation projects in different schools.
- Support towards sports days and school events.
- Support towards school fees for needy students.
